01
The permit

What it actually is.

A multiple-entry visa built for people who need to be in and out of Indonesia repeatedly for business without living here. Issued with one, two, or five years of validity, unlimited entries throughout, sixty days maximum per visit with no extension of an individual visit. D1 covers general business activity; D2 is oriented toward more structured commercial visits such as inspections, negotiations, or supplier oversight. Neither converts to residency or grants work rights.

Built for

Executives with recurring business travel to Indonesian partners, suppliers, or subsidiaries

Consultants and specialists advising Indonesian clients on short assignments

Investors monitoring their Indonesian portfolios without setting up residency

02
Scope

Where the line sits.

It lets you

Enter Indonesia repeatedly for up to five years without applying for a fresh visa each time

Stay up to sixty days per visit

Attend meetings, inspect operations, negotiate contracts, and represent your business

It does not let you

Take employment in Indonesia or receive a local salary

Sign contracts on behalf of an Indonesian entity as a director or authorised signatory

Deliver services that constitute active work rather than a business visit

03
Start to finish

What you bring, what we handle.

What you bring

Passport valid for at least 6 months

Invitation letter from an Indonesian company or clear business justification

Return or onward flight ticket for the first entry

Corporate documents proving your role and the visited entity’s existence

What we handle
1

Confirm the fit

Verify your travel pattern actually needs D1 or D2 rather than a simpler VoA or Visit Visa.

2

Prepare and file

Assemble the invitation letter, corporate documents, and application, submit through the immigration portal.

3

Issuance and entry

Receive the e-Visa and walk through what to expect at the first entry point.

4

Renewal or shift

Track expiry and plan whether to renew or shift to a KITAS if the travel becomes residency.

Other routes

If this isn't the one.

For one-off short trips of thirty to sixty days.

Pre-Investment Visa (C12/D12)

For scouting before committing to a PT PMA.
