01
The permit

What it actually is.

A pre-incorporation visa for investors evaluating Indonesia before committing capital. Longer per-entry stays than the standard business visa, built for the phase where you are doing feasibility work, meeting local partners, viewing sites, and stress-testing an investment thesis before spending on a PT PMA. C12 is single entry; D12 covers multiple entries for repeat scouting trips.

Built for

Investors scouting Indonesian markets before committing to a PT PMA

Family offices conducting due diligence on Indonesian portfolio opportunities

Founders evaluating operational feasibility before setting up a legal entity

02
Scope

Where the line sits.

It lets you

Stay in Indonesia longer per visit than a standard business visa, without incorporation

Conduct feasibility studies, site visits, and partner meetings freely

Extend the stay if the diligence needs more time

It does not let you

Sign contracts on behalf of an Indonesian entity, since the PMA does not exist yet

Take employment, receive local income, or invoice Indonesian clients

Substitute for a Working KITAS once you decide to actually incorporate and operate

03
Start to finish

What we handle
1

Route and scope

Confirm C12 or D12 fits your diligence timeline, and check what an Indonesian guarantor arrangement will look like.

2

Sponsor and file

Coordinate the guarantor letter, assemble the investment documents, submit through the immigration portal.

3

Issuance and entry

Receive the e-Visa and orient you on what to expect at the entry point and during the stay.

4

Convert or exit

Plan the transition to Working KITAS once you decide to incorporate, or exit cleanly if the diligence concludes otherwise.

Other routes

If this isn't the one.

Multiple Entry Business Visa (D1/D2)

If the scouting is short and there is no active investment intent yet.

Working KITAS (E23/E25)

Once the PT PMA is set up and you are moving into operations.

Golden Visa (E28B)

If the investment ends up large enough to qualify for investment residency.
