01
The permit

What it actually is.

A visa created specifically for foreign content creators, photographers, and videographers producing paid content in Indonesia. Covers sponsored posts, brand collaborations, commercial shoots, and paid influencer work. Introduced in response to immigration’s active enforcement against creators working on tourist visas. The C5A is the compliant route: it acknowledges the work, it is issued with the sponsor’s cooperation, and it keeps you clear of the enforcement risk that VoA and tourist-visa holders face. The C5A is not yet available through the online e-visa system, so the application runs offline with the sponsor.

Built for

Content creators with paid brand partnerships or sponsored posts featuring Indonesia

Photographers and videographers on commercial shoots for Indonesian or international clients

Influencers receiving payment, product, or hospitality in exchange for coverage

02
Scope

Where the line sits.

It lets you

Produce sponsored content, brand collaborations, and commercial shoots legally in Indonesia

Receive payment or in-kind consideration for the content work named in the application

Work openly at the locations and dates named in the application, without the enforcement risk tourist-visa holders carry

It does not let you

Take employment or work outside the sponsored content activity in the application

Perform live at a paid event. Live performance requires the Performer Visa (C7A or C7B) instead

Extend the sixty days. A longer or later engagement needs a fresh C5A

03
Start to finish

What you bring, what we handle.

What you bring

Passport valid for at least 6 months

Signed content or shoot agreement with the Indonesian sponsor

Scope of work: dates, locations, and deliverables

Portfolio or evidence of previous professional content work

What we handle
1

Route and sponsor

Verify C5A actually fits your engagement rather than a Performer or business route, coordinate the Indonesian sponsor’s role.

2

Prepare and file

Assemble the content agreement, scope of work, and application, submit through the immigration portal.

3

Arrival and coordination

Support your arrival and align on-the-ground formalities with the shoot timeline.

4

Post-engagement exit

Plan the departure aligned with the visa’s expiry so you do not overstay after wrap.

Other routes

If this isn't the one.

Performer Visa (C7A/C7B)

If the work is live performance rather than filmed or photographed content.

Multiple Entry Business Visa (D1/D2)

If you are returning repeatedly for shoots over the year.

Working KITAS (E23/E25)

If the engagement becomes ongoing residency with an Indonesian entity.
